Countrywide and Empty Houses
There’s a rumor I’ve heard from several different sources that Countrywide (who is quietly going through a restructuring of their Loss Mitigation Department) has a new policy that went into effect last Friday.
According to Susan Goulding, a Tracy, CA Short Sale Expert,
"If the home is vacant Countrywide will NOT approve a Short Sale."
I have a call into my contact at Countrywide now. Remember at this time it’s only a rumor, we shall see.
